Meet Our Team

Elizabeth Skirving, M.S., M.Ed., Reg. CASLPO

Elizabeth is fully qualified speech-language pathologist who is in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario.  After completing an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature at Huron University College, Western University, Elizabeth pursued her dream of becoming a speech-language pathologist at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. To compliment her work as a speech-language pathologist, working in the area of brain injury rehabilitation, Elizabeth earned a Master of Education in Educational Psychology from the Faculty of Education at Western University.

From her work at St. Joseph's Healthcare, to Parkwood Hospital, the Thames Valley Children's Centre and working in community-based private practice, Elizabeth has a wealth of experience in both paediatric and adult practice. In particular, Elizabeth has spent more than 25 years working with children, teens and adults with concussions and brain injuries, and has special interest in return to learn programming and intervention for children and teens after an injury.

Elizabeth places a high value on continuing education and sets time aside each month to attend workshops, conferences and online courses. She has enjoyed opportunities to share her clinical knowledge with graduate students as a guest lecturer in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Western University, and as a Clinical Supervisor in clinical training settings.
